Sevilla FC El lateral tendrá pronto una oportunidad tras apretar para continuar en Nervión.
"Todo el mundo tenía un problema y quizás entre todos tengamos la solución". Esta afirmación de Julen Lopetegui, entrenador del Sevilla, hace un mes en una entrevista con MARCA reflejan su pensamiento sobre a figura de Aleix Vidal. El lateral catalán apretó para continuar este año en el Sevilla, tras una cesión en el Alavés donde no terminó del todo conforme. Con dos años más de contrato no quería seguir siendo moneda de cambio. Cedido de aquí para allá hasta que le toque buscar verdaderamente un destino en 2022. No quiso escuchar ofertas (tampoco llegaron) y le dijo a Monchi y Lopetegui: 'Aquí me quedo'.
"Aleix es un chico de 31 años y por qué no nos va ayudar. Está en una buena edad y nosotros vamos a tratar de que así sea", reflexionaba el preparador vasco. Lopetegui se está encontrando con problemas que se podían presentar, pero con los que no estaba familiarizado. Las lesiones musculares han llegado sin respiro. Varios cambios en los partidos deben ser por problemas físicos. Un equipo condicionado por el calendario y con la única receta de rotar desde ya para que los problemas no vayan a mayores. Y Aleix Vidal entra dentro de esta ecuación.
Pese a su predisposición a permanecer en el Sevilla esta temporada, o lo que es lo mismo, no salir bajo ningún concepto. El propio Monchi trató de encontrar el modo de convencerle y que fuese Pozo quien quemase etapas a la sombra de Jesús Navas. No puso ser y ahora es Aleix quien espera la oportunidad, consciente de que el capitán es líder e insustituible, pero también finito. Sus fuerzas ya han dado el primer aviso y esta semana puede ser el turno de Aleix, toda vez que Lopetegui no arriesgará con el estado de Navas. Sólo jugará si puede competir.
El problema llamado Aleix Vidal, con una nómina importante también, puede convertirse en solución en el caso de que el entrenador lo vea con condiciones de ser titular. De momento ha ido buscando atajos para no darle la camiseta, como colocar a Ocampos de improvisado carrilero. El argentino llegará también sin descanso para recibir el sábado al Celta. Todos los caminos conducen a un Aleix que se ganó el corazón del Sevilla en el final de temporada de 2015 y que jugó su último partido como sevillista ante el Athletic en 2019.
