impuso a domicilio a Portugal con un solitario gol de N’golo Kanté
El duelo de campeones
entre Portugal y Francia cayó del lado francés gracias a un solitario gol de
N’Golo Kanté. Tras perder la final de la Eurocopa 2016 , hubo revancha y los
‘bleus’ consiguieron tomar Lisboa para obtener el billete hacia la fase final
del próximo mes de octubre. La igualdad previa entre lusos y galos se deshizo
en favor de la campeona del mundo, que completó un gran encuentro en casa de
Cristiano Ronaldo y Joao Félix.
Sin Mbappé
Tras numerosas
especulaciones, Kylian Mbappé no pudo estar a disposición de Didier Deschamps y
fue descartado para el duelo. El delantero del Paris SG no se recuperó a tiempo
de su lesión en el muslo y quedó reservado para el encuentro ante Suecia del
próximo martes.
Martial ocupó su lugar en
el ‘once’ y fue uno de los grandes protagonistas del primer tiempo al disponer
de tres ocasiones clarísimas para marcar, todas ellas con triste final para los
intereses de una Francia superior a Portugal.
El equipo luso salto al
campo imprimiendo un buen ritmo, pero pasados unos minutos el músculo galo se

descanso siendo el mejor futbolista de los de Fernando Santos, algo nada
halagüeño para los intereses de las ‘quinas’.
El portero portugués
salió vencedor de un mano a mano con Martial, sólo tras un pase genial de
Griezmann, y repelió su remate impidiendo el gol de Francia. Luego, el extremo
del United estrelló un balón contra la madera tras una jugada ensayada, y para
culminar su gafe de cara a puerta vio como Rui Patricio también le sacaba un
remate a bocajarro al filo del descanso.

Portugal también tuvo opción para adelantarse si Cristiano Ronaldo hubiera
tenido un poco más de acierto, pero su cabezazo salió rozando el travesaño de
la portería gala.
Error fatal

Patricio en el inicio, lo hizo mal nada más reiniciarse el encuentro. El
portero luso falló al repeler un tiro raso de Rabiot y puso en bandeja el gol a
Kanté.
El error de su guardameta
obligaba a la remontada a Portugal, que puso una marcha más. Los de Fernando
Santos casi logran igualar apenas unos minutos después en una doble ocasión,
pero Lloris y el poste frustraron a las ‘quinas’. El conjunto portugués buscaba
la meta rival, aunque seguía frenado por el acierto del guardameta francés, que
también abortó el intento de lejos de Moutinho con una parada espectacular a
mano cambiada.
Con su meta cerrada a cal
y canto, Francia sólo tuvo que aguantar un resultado que los catapulta hasta la
‘Final Four’ de la Nations League, dejando en la cuneta al vigente campeón del
torneo.
