El entrenador del Liverpool
se mostró crítico por la situación que le tocó vivir al Manchester United
Jürgen Klopp, entrenador
del Liverpool, se unió a las críticas que hizo Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, técnico
del Manchester United, del calendario de la Premier League y dijo que ningún
equipo que juegue el miércoles por la noche debería hacerlo también el sábado
por la mañana.
El alemán respaldó de
este modo las quejas de Solskjaer, cuyo equipo tuvo que disputar el partido de
las 12:30 de la mañana el sábado en Inglaterra después de haber jugado en
Estambul el miércoles por la noche en Liga de Campeones.
El noruego se quejó y
dijo que no entiende por qué si el Liverpool y el City habían jugado el martes
podían jugar el domingo, mientras que su equipo lo tuvo que hacer el sábado.
“He hablado con la Premier
League. Ningún equipo que juegue el miércoles por la noche debería jugar otra
vez el sábado a las 12:30”, dijo Klopp a la BBC después de que su equipo
empatara a uno contra el Manchester City.
“El domingo no es
problema, aunque no debería ser a las 12:30, porque es levantarte y ya ponerte
a jugar y aún estás en fase de recuperación. La Premier League tiene que
cambiarlo. Sky, Bt Sports... tienen que hablarlo”, añadió el técnico del
Liverpool.
