La investigación del NY
City FC concluye que hubo comportamiento “inapropiado e inaceptable” tras las
acusaciones de acoso sexual que presentó en julio pasado una ex empleada de la
entidad contra David Villa y un miembro del staff. Sin embargo, el club
neoyorquino no cita el nombre del exdelantero.
En el comunicado al que
ha tenido acceso ESPN, el NY City FC corrobara en líneas generales las
acusaciones de la ex empleada puertorriqueña Skyle Badillo, que estuvo en el
club con 19 años entre 2018 y 2019, pero no hace mención a David Villa. que
jugó en la MLS entre julio de 2014 y diciembre de 2018.
Una persona ha sido
sancionada
El NY City FC especifica
que de las personas que tuvieron dicha conducta solo una sigue en el club y ha
sido sancionada. En su comunicado el club no detalla la naturaleza del castigo.
Las conclusiones del club
“Las acusaciones hechas
durante el curso de la investigación fueron que una pequeña cantidad de
jugadores y personal no actuaron de acuerdo con los estándares del club en sus
interacciones con el personal interno y con otro personal del club”, concluye
el NY City FC.
“Este comportamiento
incluyó contacto físico innecesario, burlas y comentarios sobre la ropa y la
apariencia. El club encontró que este comportamiento era inapropiado e
inaceptable”.
Si bien en el comunicado
no se menciona a Villa, según algunas fuentes han revelado a ESPN, la
investigación confirmó que Villa tocó a la empleada de una manera inapropiada e
hizo que ésta se sintiera incómoda.
En julio Villa negó
“tajantemente” las acusaciones y las calificó de “absolutamente falsas”.
