El Leipzig se tomó la
revancha de la semifinal de la pasada Champions League y derrotó por 2-1 a un
PSG que, sin Neymar y Kylian Mbappé entre sus notables bajas, queda relegado al
tercer lugar del grupo H, con 3 puntos, tras caer también en la pasada jornada
ante el Manchester United en París. Ingleses y alemanes suman 6 puntos.

Si el pasado mes de agosto,
en Lisboa, Thomas Tuchel ganó el duelo táctico a Julian Nagelsmann con un claro
3-0, hoy éste le pudo a su maestro, que guió sus primeros pasos fútbolísticos
como jugador en el filial del Augsburgo.
Y eso que el PSG fue muy
superior en prácticamente toda la primera parte pero no supo cerrar el partido
y lo pagó. Ya en el minuto 6, Moise Kean robó el balón en una cesión atrás de
Dayot Upemaecano, muy desacertado al principio, y el italiano pasó con suavidad
al hueco para que Ángel Di María batiera a Peter Gulacsi con un exquisito toque
de balón.
El Leipzig reaccionó bien
con una doble ocasión del que se salvó milagrosamente el PSG primero atajando
Keylor Navas con un paradón un remate con todo a favor de Amadou Haidara y, en
el rechace, tapando Alessandro Florenzi bajo palos el intento de Angeliño (8’).
Upamecano, desconocido
Fue un espejismo porque
la defensa adelantada del Leipzig hizo aguas con los balones al espacio y Kean,
tras recibir de Pablo Sarabia, provocó un penalti ya que su disparo a la media
vuelta lo desvió Upamecano con el brazo. Di María lo ejecutó pero Gulacsi le
adivinó la intención (15’).
El meta húngaro salvó a
un Leipzig que, no obstante, siguió viviendo sus peores momentos. Humillado en
la anterior jornada por el Manchester United (5-0), el partido parecía
encaminarse a otra debacle del equipo energético ya que la Julian Nagelsmann
jugó sin un 9 puro y situó en esa posición a Dani Olmo, habitual en la
mediapunta, cuyo rendimiento se resintió.
El gol de la esperanza
Mal en la salida de balón
y superado una y otra vez en su atrevida defensa por Di María y Kean, el
Leipzig empezó a salir del túnel al final de la primera parte al empatar en la
primera jugada que logró trenzar. Angeliño encontró a Christophe Nkunku, a
quien tardaron en salirle al paso antes de soltar un disparo raso y ajustado
que superó a Keylor Navas (42’).
Incluso Olmo tuvo el 2-1
antes del descanso al retrasar algo su posición y prodigar un trallazo que rozó
el larguero. El Leipzig se fue a vestuarios con un milagroso 1-1, vista su
desastrosa primera parte, pero poco a poco fue revertiendo la situación en la
segunda parte, más asentado y mejor situado en el terreno de juego.
Forsberg sentencia de
penalti y roja a Gueye
Emil Forsberg avisó al
desbordar y chutar por encima del larguero (53’) antes de culminar la remontada
al transformar un claro penalti, pitado a instancias del VAR, de Kimpembe al
tocar el balón con el brazo en un centro de Angeliño (57’).
El PSG pasó de arrollar a
verse desbordado ante la desesperación de Thomas Tuchel al ver cómo su equipo
se quedó en inferioridad en el minuto 70 al ver Idrissa Gueye la segunda
amarilla por una falta sobre Haidara.
Rafinha entra al final y
segunda expulsión del PSG
Quedaban 20 minutos, el
PSG, con pocos recursos en el banquillo, lo intentó con la entrada en los
últimos instantes de Rafinha pero el Leipzig estuvo más cerca de ampliar su
ventaja. Ya en el descuento Kimpembe vio también la segunda amarilla por una
falta sobre Yussuf Poulsen.
El subcampeón de Europa
está entre las cuerdas y deberá reaccionar en la segunda fase de la liguilla
para seguir soñando con ganar ese título que se le resiste temporada tras
temporada: la Champions.
