Tras 228 días sin fútbol
por la pandemia del coronavirus, el destino marcó que la reanudación del torneo
argentino se diera en el cumpleaños del máximo ídolo de su historia, que estuvo
presente en el estadio Juan Carmelo Zerillo de La Plata y recibió un homenaje
previo al inicio del encuentro.
El colombiano Johan
Carbonero (con colaboración del meta Daniel Sappa), Maximiliano Coronel y Erik
Ramírez marcaron los tantos del 'Lobo', que inició la participación en la Zona
6 del torneo con una contundente victoria.
Este triunfo fue el
broche de oro para una jornada que estuvo marcada por los festejos y
celebraciones de Diego Maradona, que recibió dos placas antes del comienzo del
encuentro por parte de la Asociación del Fútbol Argentino y la Liga Profesional
de Fútbol.
En un marco de fuegos
artificiales en un estadio vacío por el protocolo covid-19, Claudio Tapia y
Marcelo Tinelli, titulares de ambas instituciones, junto al presidente del club
platense, Gabriel Pellegrino, homenajearon a Maradona en este día tan especial
para el 'Pelusa'.
Si bien Maradona, después
de este homenaje, se retiró del campo de juego por prevención al pertenecer al
grupo de riesgo por el coronavirus, el exastro del fútbol mundial tuvo su
segunda aparición pública de la jornada.
La primera había sido por
la mañana cuando salió a saludar en la concentración del equipo platense a
cerca de 500 simpatizantes de Gimnasia que hicieron una caravana para saludarlo
con cánticos y banderas.
Maradona llegó al estadio
acompañado de su hijo menor Diego Fernando y, al retirarse del estadio, fue
ovacionado por más de 500 hinchas del 'Lobo' que buscaron un saludo del 'Pelusa',
que luego de esta alegría tenía prevista una cena familiar.
