de Solskjaer frente a un RB Leipizig que sufrió en Old Trafford, sentenciado
por un Rashford sublime
El United se pone serio
en Champions, como si quisiera redimirse de sus errores. Se gustó ante el RB
Leipzig, un equipo venido a menos, sentenciado por un Rashford que fue
protagonista a pesar de ser suplente. Tres tantos del inglés acabaron con su
rival. Asumió responsabilidad el 10, ahora que está en boca de todos por su
labor humanitaria. En Old Trafford sentó cátedra y se sumó a la fiesta de un
United que lidera su grupo. Seis puntos son la mejor noticia posible (5-0).
El triunfo en París le
dio mucho margen a Solskjaer, tanto que introdujo retoques en el once frente al
RB Leipzig. Dejó a Bruno Fernandes y a Rashford en el banco, a quienes también
les conviene un respiro. Y mutó el entrenador noruego a un 4-3-3, con Van de
Beek y Pogba como interiores. No se apocó nadie en Old Trafford, un lugar que
nunca dejó de imponer, antes por su ruido, ahora por su silencio estremecedor.
Todo ha cambiado demasiado, menos las bajas temperaturas.
No se descifra de la
misma forma un choque desde casa que desde la propia cancha, atascado de
entrada el United. Pero al menos hubo alguna pista del cuadro de Manchester,
más voluntarioso y protagonista. Su rival apenas asomó a De Gea, espectador a
falta de gente en la grada. No acabó de comparecer el RB Leipzig, confinado en
zona segura, sorprendido por Greenwood tras un buen pase filtrado de Pogba:
1-0. No se ha olvidado de jugar el inglés, recuperado para la causa.
A Upamecano le sorprendió
el escenario, tan codiciado en Europa que se sabe observado, quien sabe si
también por el United. Un error del francés a punto estuvo de costarle un tanto
a su equipo en Manchester, donde se escucha cualquier grito a falta de
ambiente. Esa maldita nueva realidad. El cuadro de Naglesmann entró mejor en el
segundo tiempo, pero enfrente se encontró a un muro, esta vez exquisito De Gea,
que puso una mano de mucho nivel para impedir el empate.
Serio y ordenado, el
United anuló en gran medida a un RB Leipzig que no se reconoció, sin el
desparpajo de otras ocasiones. No hubo mucho que rescatar ni de Angeliño ni de
Dani Olmo, en estado de gracia hasta llegar a Manchester. Al United le quedaba
materia prima, y Solskjaer le dio carrete a McTominay, a Bruno Fernandes y a
Rashford. Se juntaron el luso y el inglés para el 2-0 del ariete, una jugada al
contragolpe que tuvo que revisar el VAR. No hubo duda. No hubo fuera de juego.
Fuera de la cancha
Rashford es un tipo altruista. En ella no tiene piedad. Media hora le hizo
falta para anotar tres tantos. El 3-0, tras un robo en el que armó la pierna
sin pensar. Con los deberes hechos se gustó el United, que redondeó la noche
con el penalti de Martial y con otro de Rashford, supremo desde que ingresó.
Una buena manera de terminar un choque notable, ahora que parece que el equipo
toma impulso en Champions. Solskjaer puede estar más que satisfecho.
