El Borussia Dortmund sudó
de lo lindo ante un replegado Zenit pero su insistencia le permitió obtener un
triunfo por 2-0 con el que recupera parte del terreno perdido en la jornada
inaugural de la Champions League con su derrota en Roma. Jadon Sancho abrió el
marcador de penalti en el tramo final y Erling Haaland sentenció de penalti en
el descuento con su 12º gol en 10 partidos en el torneo. El subcampeón alemán
suma 3 puntos, mientras Brujas y Lazio, que empataron (1-1), comparten el
liderato del grupo F con 4.
Ambos equipos venían de
perder la semana pasada en su debut en la Champions, de ahí que ya afrontaran
este partido con cierta presión, sobre todo un Borussia Dortmund muy criticado
por su decepcionante imagen ante el Lazio (3-1).
Dominio abrumador del
Dortmund
Si en Roma su defensa
hizo aguas, hoy el equipo de Lucien Favre sí tuvo la posesión del balón más
allá del 60 por ciento, pero el dominio territorial no se tradujo en jugadas de
peligro ante el ordenado y disciplinado repliegue de un Zenit que en contadas ocasiones
salió al contragolpe.
El Dortmund no encontró
líneas de pase pese a los denodados esfuerzos del omnipresente Giovanni Reyna,
cuyo manejo del balón fue una delicia para los aficionados en sus casas. El
joven mediapunta no logró conectar durante muchos minutos con Jadon Sancho ni
Marco Reus, sin espacios por las bandas, ni mucho menos con Erling Haaland,
aislado entre la defensa rusa.
Kerzhakov no interviene

Un escenario que llevó al
Dortmund a abusar de las jugadas por el centro facilitando así la labor de su
rival. El meta Mikhail Kerzhakov no intervino hasta el minuto 26 cuando desvió
con un paradón un lanzamiento de falta pegado al poste de Reus.
Justo antes del descanso
el Dortmund disfrutó de una inmejorable ocasión. Fue la primera vez que Haaland
dispuso de unos metros para recibir a la contra de Sancho, pero el noruego
cruzó en exceso ante la salida de Kerzhakov.
Diluvio
La segunda parte empezó
con un gol anulado a Reus, pero el partido no cambió. El Dortmund siguió moviendo
el balón pero el Zenit, compacto, siguió sin dejar resquicios por mucho que
Haaland se abriera a las bandas.
El diluvio que empezó a
caer en el Signal Iduna Park no mermó la insistencia del subcampeón alemán.
Mahmoud Dahoud lo intentó con un disparo que desvió con la punta de los
Kerzhakov (66’). Favre movió el banquillo dando entrada primero a Thorgan
Hazard, quien instantes después se encargaría de desatascar el partido con la
complicidad de Vyacheslav Karavaev, quien le agarró para evitar que cabeceara
un centro de Thomas Meunier.
Y regalo
El inocente penalti lo
convirtió Sancho a 12 minutos del final. Un regalo que recibió con gusto el
Dortmund antes de sentenciar el partido en el descuento. Con el Zenit más
abierto en busca del empate, Jude Bellingham prolongó de cabeza un saque de
puerta de Roman Bürki y Haaland, en una de sus contadas apariciones, pudo
escaparase para batir a Kerzhakov en su desesperada salida. El infalible
cañonero logró así su 12º gol -segundo de esta temporada- en sus 10 partidos
jugados de la Champions.
