dos puntos del Everton gracias a la conexión entre Kane y el surcoreano en un
córner tras un partido complicado
El Tottenham logró una
trabajada y sufrida victoria ante el Burnley en Turf Moor (0-1) y escaló al
quinto lugar de la Premier League a dos puntos del líder Everton. Cuando el
partido se les hacía más cuesta arriba, una vez más la conexión Harry
Kane-Heung-min Son resultó providencial para los ‘spurs’. A la salida de un
córner, el capitán asistió al surcoreano para que, también de cabeza, acabara
con la resistencia de los ‘clarets’ y se situara Pichichi con 8 tantos.
Bale y Reguilón, sin
minutos
José Mourinho dejó en el
banquillo a Sergio Reguilón y Gareth Bale para afrontar un partido que siguió
el guión previsto de antemano. El Burnley, protagonista de un decepcionante
inicio de temporada al haber sumado solo un punto, desplegó las armas que viene
exhibiendo en los últimos años, y llevó al Tottenham a un duelo físico que
dominó durante algunas fases.
Es difícil rescatar
alguna ocasión del Tottenham durante todo el encuentro. El Burnley le cerró
todas las líneas de pase y en los balones largos sus centrales encontraron la
situación ideal para imponer su fortaleza y estatura.
Alderweireld, con vendaje
En este contexto Toby
Alderweireld se llevó la peor parte en el primer cuarto de hora en un choque
con Ashley Barnes que le provocó una herida en la cabeza y el consiguiente
vendaje.
Tanguy Ndombélé, que se
ha ganado la confianza de Mourinho cuando parecía que le había puesto la cruz,
prodigó un esperanzador inicio de partido, pero no pudo conectar con Kane y Son
a falta de jugadores de un perfil más técnico como Erik Lamela y Giovani Lo
Celso, ambos en el banquillo.
El Burnley, en su salsa
Con el paso de los
minutos el Burnley, bien replegado hasta entonces, se fue encontrando más
cómodo y con confianza para salir al ataque con los desplazamientos justos de
balón.
A Barnes se le anuló un
gol por fuera de juego (21’) y en el tramo final de la primera parte Hugo
Lloris tuvo que intervenir para desviar dos disparos peligrosos de Ashley
Westwood y Johann Berg Gudmundsson.
Kane evita el 1-0 y da el
0-1
En la segunda parte nada
cambió, de ahí que Mourinho tardara poco en poner en el campo a Lamela en lugar
de un eclipsado Lucas Moura (57’). James Tarkowski, imperial en el eje de la
defensa junto a Kevin Long frustrando una y otra vez los ataques del Tottenham,
estuvo a punto de marcar en un córner pero su cabezazo lo sacó en la misma
línea Kane también con la testa (71’).
Del 1-0 se pasó al 0-1 en
apenas unos minutos en otro saque de esquina. Kane volvió a ser decisivo al
tocar de nuevo de cabeza para asistir esta vez de cabeza para que Son, a boca
