El
central inglés Harry Maguire fue el lamentable protagonista del primer tiempo.
Recibió la primera amarilla a los cinco minutos y la segunda a la media hora,
tras llevarse por delante a Poulsen y Dolberg, a los que no les partió el
tobillo de puro milagro.
Inglaterra
estaba prácticamente sentenciada, pero la apatía de Dinamarca provocó que
tuvieran una oportunidad para empatar a 25 minutos del final. Harry Kane
prolongó un lanzamiento de córner, el cuero le cayó a Mason Mount en la frontal
del área pequeña y su cabezazo, sin prácticamente espacio para la reacción, lo
salvó Kasper Schmeichel con una mano espectacular.
El
portero del Leicester fue de lo poco que apareció en la segunda parte para los
daneses, salvando con otra manopla una falta lanzada por Reece James.

azulgrana Braithwaite, desapercibido
Destacar
que el jugador del Barça Martin Braithwaite fue titular y jugó 74 minutos y no
efectuó ningún disparo en todo el encuentro. Apenas pudo completar dos regates.
Con
esta derrota cae en saco roto el triunfo de hace unos días de los ingleses ante
Bélgica. Los belgas, que no fallaron ante Islandia, se colocan con 9 puntos en
primera posición, a falta de dos partidos.
Dinamarca
se mete en la pelea por el pase a la fase final y se ubica en segundo puesto
