De Gea, que lleva ya un tiempo cuestionado por los
medios, tampoco estuvo fino en la jugada del gol de Ucrania
David de Gea vuelve a estar en el centro de todas las
miradas. El portero madrileño lleva ya bastante tiempo siendo cuestionado por
los medios de comunicación y comentaristas deportivos por sus discutibles
actuaciones, tanto en el Manchester United como en la Roja. Da la sensación de
que no confiere seguridad.
Por situarnos en el presente y sin empezar por el
principio en su lista de ‘pifias’, ayer facilitó la labor de sus críticos con
una mala decisión en la jugada del gol de Ucrania, a un cuarto de hora del
final del partido correspondiente a la fase de grupos de la Nations League.
Pese a su notable papel hasta entonces, en el 76’ Tsygankov se aprovechó de una
mala decisión en la salida del meta.
Tampoco quedan lejos sus dos ‘cantadas’ con el
United -hace solo tres meses- en la semifinal de la FA Cup ante el Chelsea. Y
no estuvo fino días antes en partido de Premier ante el Crystal Palace, tras
cuya ‘cantada’ se ganó las críticas de los aficionados de Old Trafford.
Anteriormente también se le cuestionó su falta de acierto en el partido ante el
Watford, colista del campeonato, por un balón que se le escapó de las manos. O
ante el Everton, en el que regaló un gol en el minuto 3. Y en abril de 2019, en
partido de Champions ante el Barça en el Camp Nou, la pelota se le escurrió de
nuevo de las manos a disparo de Leo Messi.
Pero también con la selección española ha generado
debate la titularidad de De Gea. En verano de 2018, tras un Portugal-España de
Mundial en Rusia en el que encajó tres goles, se le señaló por un error
garrafal en uno de ellos: un disparo lejado de Cristiano Ronaldo en el que no
fue capaz de atrapar ni desviar el balón. Si retrocedemos, en la Eurocopa de
2016, en el último partido de la fase de grupos ante Croacia, el meta cometió
un par de errores impropios de su nivel.
Habrá que ver si Luis Enrique sigue confiando en él
o les da la oportunidad a Kepa Arrizabalaga (en el Chelsea tampoco ha vivido su
mejor temporada) o Pau López.
