El Manchester United atraviesa una etapa complicada respecto a resultados o títulos pero, a nivel de academia, viven una etapa excelente. Cada temporada, algún producto de la escuela de Carrington se cuela en el once de los red devils. Años atrás fue el fenómeno Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay y el último, Mason Greenwood mientras Dean Henderson espera su momento peleando la titularidad con De Gea.
Todo el acierto que están teniendo al formar les está fallando en algunas operaciones en el mercado bien por no conseguir cerrarlas o porque esos jugadores nunca acaban de dar el resultado esperado. En sus primeros compases con el sub23 le está costando adaptarse e incluso fue expulsado por empujar a un rival al suelo en el derbi contra el Liverpool después de que este entrara de manera muy fea a uno de sus compañeros. De momento, ha demostrado más carácter que fútbol. Por su estilo de juego, según explican desde Inglaterra, se parece al internacional inglés: veloz, partiendo desde la banda hacia el centro y con calidad suficiente para pasar, regatear y hacer goles.
