La Roja, indignada por las circunstancias que
envolvieron el duelo ante el cuadro charrúa.
El presidente de la Asociación Nacional de Fútbol
Profesional (ANFP) de Chile, Pablo Milad, solicitó este viernes a la Conmebol
los audios e imágenes del encuentro entre Chile y Uruguay para esclarecer una
polémica jugada al final del partido en la que no se pitó un posible penalti a
favor de La Roja.
"Lamentablemente los resultados no se pueden
cambiar y tenemos que apelar a que no vuelva a ocurrir este condicionamiento y
tener todos los antecedentes para ver qué comunicación hubo entre el VAR y el
árbitro, si hubo caso omiso de este último o no se tenían
las imágenes correspondientes", declaró en conferencia de prensa el
presidente de la ANFP.
La polémica jugada de produjo en el minuto 87,
cuando el volante chileno Víctor Dávila centro un balón que fue interceptado
con una mano por el defensor Uruguayo Sebastián Coates.
Los dirigidos por Reinaldo Rueda reclamaron penalti,
pero el árbitro paraguayo Éber Aquino dejó seguir el juego. En el minuto 88, el
árbitro recibió por intercomunicador el análisis del VAR y decidió no sancionar
la jugada sin haber revisado las imágenes personalmente.
"He tenido una conversación esta mañana con el
presidente de la Conmebol, Alejandro Domínguez, que mostró absoluta disposición
para ayudar con nuestra petición del audio y las imágenes que fueron procesadas
por el VAR en esta acción que fue muy conflictiva", aseveró Milad.
El dirigente chileno explicó que el objetivo de la
federación es evitar que este tipo de situaciones se repitan y perjudiquen a
otros países: "Enlodan al VAR como agente objetivo y de justicia en el
fútbol, esa es la función que ha tenido en relación directa con los
arbitrajes".
Si bien Milad descarta cualquier tipo de mala
intención, insiste en la necesidad de esclarecer lo ocurrido.
"La idea es transparentar, que el VAR sea un
apoyo para el árbitro y no pensar que hubo intencionalidad de perjudicar a
Chile. Si hubo algo, creemos que fue un error. Por eso queremos comprobar cuál
fue el proceso de relación con el VAR en el análisis de las imágenes. Nos
hubiésemos quedado mucho más tranquilos si las hubiésemos revisado",
afirmó.
