Como era de esperar, tanto Klopp como Arteta presentaron ‘onces’ a caballo entre los teóricos titulares y los habituales suplentes. Se acostumbró tanto a hacerlo, que en la tanda de penaltis también resultó determinante. Detuvo dos. Uno a Origi y otro a Wilson cuando ya se disputaba la muerte súbita. Willock se encargo de chutar a posteriori y aunque Adrián la tocó no pudo evitar el sevillano que el balón traspasase la línea clasificando al Arsenal para la siguiente ronda y obligando al Liverpool a despedirse de esta competición.
