El colegiado
de 33 años, de la Serie C, pierde la vida en su apartamento de Lecce junto a su
pareja.
Tragedia en
Italia. El colegiado italiano Daniele De Santis, de 33 años, árbitro de la Lega
Pro (Serie C), ha muerto apuñalado junto a su pareja, Eleonora Manta (30 años),
en su domicilio de Lecce, según ha informado este martes ‘La Repubblica’.
Las causas que
llevaron al fatal apuñalamiento son actualmente inciertas. Alertados por los
avisos de los vecinos, los agentes de policía se presentaron en el lugar y solo
pudieron observar los cuerpos inertes de la pareja, del primero en las
escaleras del complejo de apartamentos y el de la joven dentro de la casa. Se
busca al autor del doble asesinato, ubicado en el lugar por varios testigos.
Según ‘La Repubblica’, Eleonora gritó el nombre del criminal.
Daniele y
Eleonora vivían en un complejo residencial con sistema de seguridad y cámaras,
por lo que las autoridades esperan encontrar evidencias que conduzcan hasta el
asesino.
De Santis comenzó
su carrera en el arbitraje profesional en 2017 debutando en Serie B como cuarto
árbitro en un partido entre el Pisa y el Benevento, y sus compañeros de
profesión han querido mostrar su dolor por la tragedia. “Estoy conmocionado.
Aún sabemos muy poco sobre el caso. Lo que puedo decir es que estamos en
estrecho contacto con la familia y con toda la gente de la asociación”, expresó
Marcello Nicchi, director de la Asociación Italiana de Árbitros.
De Santis arbitró
cerca de 130 partidos en la Serie C y Serie D y contaba con una gran
proyección. Este miércoles, de hecho, debía arbitrar el encuentro de la Coppa
de Italia entre el Monopoli y el Modena.
