Tras ganar el clásico al PSG, el Olympique cayó en casa, puso fin a su pleno de puntos y no pudo alcanzar el primer lugar.
El Marsella, que había ganado sus dos partidos y venía de derrotar el domingo al PSG en el tumultuoso clásico del Parque de los Príncipes, tenía hoy la oportunidad de situarse líder en solitario de la Ligue 1, pero fracasó en su intento ya que el Saint-Étienne le sorprendió en el Vélodrome en encuentro aplazado de la primera jornada (0-2). Los ‘verts’ sí lograron mantener su pleno de triunfos y se sitúan en cabeza con 9 puntos, dos más que el Rennes.
Gran inicio del Saint-Etienne
El Saint-Étienne protagonizó un gran primer cuarto de hora de partido ya que abrieron el marcador y tuvieron dos buenas ocasiones de ampliar su ventaja. El Marsella acusó el golpe y solo volvió a crear peligro ya en el minuto 89 con un lanzamiento de falta de Thauvin que el meta Jessy Moulin por encima del larguero. El Saint-Étienne se ha mostrado intratable en sus tres partidos, con 6 goles favor y ninguno en contra, tras sendos 2-0 en casa contra Lorient y Estrasburgo antes del 0-2 de hoy en el Vélodrome.
