El presidente de honor del Nacional Atlético, un club de fútbol que juega en la Cuarta División del Campeonato Brasileño, fue asesinado a puñaladas por un exjugador del equipo de tan solo 20 años y que confesó el crimen tras su detención, informaron este jueves fuentes oficiales.
José Danilson, de 58 años, recibió dos cuchilladas, una en la zona del cuello y otra en una pierna, no resistió la gravedad de las heridas y murió en un hospital de Londrina, municipio del estado brasileño de Paraná, en el sur del país, informó este jueves la Policía.
El crimen sucedió el miércoles cerca de Londrina, en la localidad de Rolandia, sede del Nacional Atlético.
El autor confeso del asesinato, identificado como Vinicius Corsini, sorprendió a Danilson delante de la sede de la empresa Konex Telecom, en la que el dirigente deportivo consta como uno de los socios, y comenzaron a discutir.
En un momento determinado, el agresor le asestó dos puñaladas a Danilson y, acto seguido, tiró el arma blanca en una residencia próxima e intentó huir, si bien los vecinos del barrio consiguieron inmovilizarlo hasta que llegó una patrulla de la Policía Militar.
En la comisaría, Vinicius, que actualmente estaba sin equipo, confesó y afirmó que cometió el crimen por una “desavenencia” que tenía con el directivo de su etapa como jugador del Nacional, que terminó en febrero después de dos años de contrato.
“Cuando fue interrogado sobre la autoría del crimen, informó que tenía una desavenencia con la víctima y, tras una discusión, dio sendas puñaladas en la región del cuello y la pierna”, señaló la Policía Militar en una nota.
Según medios locales, el club tenía una deuda económica con él de alrededor de 7.000 reales (unos 1.320 dólares), aunque fuentes policiales consultadas por Efe también investigan otro posible móvil relacionado con asuntos íntimos.
José Danilson era muy popular entre los habitantes de Rolandia debido a su extensa trayectoria política en el municipio, donde fue concejal de 2001 a 2012 y vicealcalde.
La Alcaldía de Rolandia decretó tres días de luto por la muerte del que describió como “uno de los iconos políticos y deportivos” de la ciudad, según señaló en un comunicado.
