El centrocampista de 19 años Anderson Contreras lideró este miércoles con un gol y dos asistencias el triunfo por 2-3 del Caracas en el estadio Atanasio Girardot ante un alicaído Deportivo Independiente Medellín (DIM) en la tercera jornada del Grupo H de la Copa Libertadores.
El conjunto venezolano se impuso con tantos de Contreras, del lateral Eduardo Fereira y del goleador argentino Alexis Blanco, mientras que por los colombianos anotaron el creativo Javier Reina y el goleador Leonardo Castro.
Los Rojos del Ávila salieron mejor que el local y consiguieron la ventaja muy rápido, al minuto 6, en una jugada colectiva que empezó por el costado derecho Robert Hernández, quien tocó el balón a Contreras para que este se la filtrara a un veloz Ferreira que venció sin mayores dificultades al portero Andrés Mosquera.
La reacción del conjunto de Aldo Bobadilla fue floja y este tuvo muchas dificultades para romper la sólida línea defensiva del conjunto venezolano, pese al liderazgo del creativo Javier Reina que trató de asentar, sin mucho éxito, a su equipo en campo contrario.
En ese contexto, el Caracas mantuvo el control y aumentó la ventaja al minuto 24 cuando Contreras, en un tiro libre lejano, clavó el balón en la esquina superior izquierda del arco de Mosquera para sorpresa de Bobadilla y sus dirigidos.
El estratega paraguayo del Medellín no aguantó hasta el entretiempo y en el minuto 34 mandó a la cancha al delantero paraguayo Carlos Monges y al argentino Israel Escalante en reemplazo de los jóvenes Mauricio Cortés y Andrés Rodríguez, que recibieron poco y no tuvieron muchas oportunidades para anotar.
Los locales se acercaron más a la portería de Beycker Velásquez y en el cierre de la primera etapa consiguieron un penalti, por mano en el área de Rivero, que cobró Reina al minuto 48 para cerrar la brecha entre ambos equipos.
En la etapa complementaria, el Poderoso encontró el empate muy rápido cuando el portero Velásquez despejó, el balón rebotó en el central Diego Osio y le quedó a Castro, que colgó al guardameta para celebrar el empate al minuto 46.
Sin embargo, el Caracas volvió a ponerse en ventaja gracias a la pegada de Contreras, que en un tiro libre al 53 mandó un centro preciso que Blanco envió al fondo de la red con un cabezazo certero.
Tras el tanto los locales se volcaron al campo contrario para buscar el empate e inclinaron su juego al costado derecho, donde el lateral Didier Delgado fue incisivo y hasta sacó un rematé que despejó con solvencia Velásquez.
Al final el Medellín no logró igualar y quedó al borde de la eliminación tras haber perdido sus tres primeros juegos, mientras que el Caracas es tercero con cuatro unidades, las mismas que el Libertad paraguayo que es segundo y dos menos que el líder Boca Juniors.
