El entrenador del Liverpool, preocupado por el bienestar de los jugadores tras la negativa de la Premier a las cinco sustituciones.
Jürgen Klopp, entrenador del Liverpool, expresó este viernes su preocupación por que el bienestar de los jugadores esté en riesgo al prohibirse que se hagan cinco sustituciones en los partidos del campeonato inglés esta temporada. Los clubs de la Premier (que arranca este sábado) votaron en contra de mantener la regla temporal que permitía cinco cambios, adoptada al volver la competición tras el parón por la pandemia del coronavirus.
España, Italia, Alemania y Francia han decidido mantener la regla que permite cinco sustituciones. “Hubiera sido de sentido común” que en la Premier también se hubiera hecho, afirmó Klopp la víspera del arranque de la Premier 2020-21, que el Liverpool, campeón, inicia recibiendo al Leeds de Marcelo Bielsa.
Klopp dijo en este viernes en conferencia de prensa: “No se trata de tener una ventaja porque contamos con mejores jugadores y podemos sacar cinco de primer nivel al campo. Klopp reconoció que tendrá que “rotar más” esta temporada como resultado y que los equipos “necesitarán números”. El Liverpool, sin embargo, sólo ha hecho un fichaje de momento este verano, el del lateral izquierdo Kostas Tsimikas.
