Suiza se
mostró superior a los germanos y sacaron un empate gracias al gol de Widmer,
aunque merecieron más. Gündogan hizo el único gol para los teutones.
Muchos se
esperaban en Suiza una caperucita roja, por eso de vestir de rojo, pero sucedió
como en el cuento, que resultó encontrarse con un lobo. Eso sí, con más aullido
que con colmillo. Por suerte para Alemania. Los hombres de Löw persiguieron más
a sus rivales, que al revés, que se adueñaron del balón. Los locales se
mostraron muy superiores y amenazantes. La defensa de cinco de Alemania estuvo
trabajando continuamente, sólo con el cambio de Ginter por Can respecto al
partido de España, teniendo que frenar a una gran variedad de artilleros
(Seferovic, Embolo, Xhaka, Benito, Widmer...). Ninguno se cohibió en probar a
Leno, la otra novedad en el once, cuyo guardameta cumplió en la primera parte.
Se mostró seguro en los continuos intentos de Seferovic y los mal intencionados
pases de Benito que casi le cuestan algún que otro disgusto al conjunto teutón.
Pero a los suizos les faltó eso en el primer tiempo, un poco más de dientes.
Que solo les crecieron tras el descanso.
Los alemanes,
ante la presión suiza, le costó quitarse el corsé y pasar del centro del campo.
Ante el torbellino suizo, Alemania también presentó dinamita arriba para
replicar: Werner, Draxler y Sané. Aunque los cartuchos llegaron mojados. Sólo
logró explotarlos Gündogan, en la que fue la segunda ocasión teutona, donde el
medio dijo algo así como "Menos lobos, caperucita". Un disparo lejano
y ajustado al palo adelantaba a los suyos al cuarto de hora de partido. Pocas
más llegadas tuvieron con peligro los de Löw. Una doble ocasión de Draxler y
Sané, que anulada por fuera de juego y por Sommer, que se mostró sensacional,
por si acaso, desviando ambos disparos. Tampoco tuvo mucha más suerte Werner,
que vio como su zapatazo se marchaba alto.
No fue la noche
de los nueves. Que se lo digan a Seferovic. El delantero del Benfica lo intentó
una y otra vez y de tomas las maneras. Perdió un mano a mano con Leno, tras una
gran asistencia de Embolo, la misma suerte corrió con otro pase filtrado por
Benito y maldició su puntería con un disparo que rozó el larguero y una volea
que se le marchó para la banda en vez de a la portería.
En la segunda
parte el partido se convirtió en un intercambio de golpes, más faltas y más
robos. Alemania se animó y Draxler lo intentó. Pero fue cuando el combinado de
Löw se mostró más cómodo cuando se llevó el jarro de agua fría. Una contra de
Suiza finalizó con una asistencia de Embolo a Widmer, que cruzó el balón
batiendo a Leno. Un gol que no sació a Suiza y que pudo hacer más, pero le
siguió faltando ese diente. Alemania encadena su segundo empate consecutivo y
otorga a Suiza un balón de oxígeno en esa pelea por la permanencia en la Liga A
de la Nations League.
