Diez meses de inactividad pasan factura a cualquiera e Italia lo comprobó hoy al debutar en la segunda edición de la Nations League cediendo en Florencia un 1-1 a Bosnia y Herzegovina, que jugó sin el nuevo jugador azulgrana Miralem Pjanic tras dar positivo de Covid-19. La ‘azzurra’ puso fin a la mejor racha de su historia (11 triunfos seguidos) tras una fase clasificatoria para la Eurocopa perfecta de l amano de Roberto Mancini y ve cómo Países Bajos, con su triunfo ante Polonia (1-0), es el primer líder de este grupo 1 de la Liga A antes de rendir visita a Amsterdam el próximo lunes.

Los balcánicos avisaron en el minuto 53 cuando Armin Hodzic, en una gran jugada personal por la izquierda, superó en carrera a un defensa, luego a Donnarumma, pero se quedó sin ángulo y el poste evitó que su toque con intención llegara a la red.
Italia respondió de inmediato al cabecear Insigne también al poste un centro de Chiesa (55’). Pero Bosnia abrió el marcador acto seguido a la salida de un córner. Toni Sunjic, tras un rechace, tocó el balón de cabeza y Dzeko, a la media vuelta y sin marcaje de una defensa que iniciaba su movimiento de salida, clavó el balón en la red (57’).
Sensi empata con la ayuda de un defensa
Italia siguió insistiendo y encontró el empate diez minutos después en una acción de Insigne por la izquierda poniendo a pie cambiado el balón al centro para que Stefano Sensi en el límite del área conectara un remate que, desviado por un defensa, descolocó a Sehic.
A un cuarto de hora del final Mancini relevó a Belotti por Ciro Immobile, a quien dejó de inicio en el banquillo pese a ser el flamente Bota de Oro europeo, pero a Italia, ya con las fuerzas justas, le faltó frescura para generar ocasiones claras, mientras Bosnia, a la contra, tuvo las mejores, pero el trallazo de Edin Visca lo tapó bien Donnarumma y el intento cruzado de Muhamed Besic salió muy cerca del poste.

Italia, pese al empate, sigue invicta en sus últimos 15 partidos desde que perdió ante Portugal (1-0) en septiembre de 2018 en partido de la pasada Nations League.
