El Emirates
Stadium puede volver a albergar público este próximo mes de octubre, ya que el
Arsenal manifestó este miércoles que planea jugar con un aforo reducido. Los
partidos se disputan en estadios a puerta cerrada a causa de la pandemia del coronavirus.
Pero la semana
pasada se permitió la entrada a 2.500 aficionados en el Amex Stadium para el
amistoso de pretemporada entre el Brighton y el Chelsea después de que el
Gobierno del Reino Unido anunciara eventos piloto para el regreso de los espectadores
al deporte de élite.
“Esperamos
poder dar la bienvenida a los aficionados al Emirates Stadium con una capacidad
reducida desde el partido contra el Sheffield United programado para el sábado
3 de octubre”, dijo el Arsenal, cuyo entrenador es Mikel Arteta.
“Cuando
los aficionados regresen al Emirates Stadium, se tomarán medidas adicionales
para protegernos a todos. Estas son claramente circunstancias excepcionales y
la salud, la seguridad y la protección de todos es nuestra principal
prioridad”, afirmó el club ‘gunner’ en un comunicado.
El Arsenal,
ganador de la Fa Cup, también conquistó la Community Shield el pasado sábado al
vencer al Liverpool 5-4 por penaltis, se estrenará en la Premier enfrentándose
al Fulham el 12 de septiembre.
