La llegada de Donny van de Beek al Manchester United es cuestión de días, sin embargo las ambiciones de Ole Gunnar Solskjaer van más allá de la incorporación del internacional holandés. Según explica The Times, el entrenador noruego ha exigido a la directiva tres fichajes más a parte del centrocampista del Ajax.
El aterrizaje de Van de Beek, un fichaje de campanillas, no cubre todas las posiciones que Solskjaer quiere reforzar. El preparador mancuniano quiere agregar un central, un extremo derecho y un delantero centro a su equipo antes de que se vuelva a cerrar el mercado.
Tras invertir algo más de 50 millones de euros en Van de Beek, el gran inconveniente para satisfacer las demandas del técnico sería monetario. El presupuesto es limitado, más en un verano en que los ingresos por la Covid han hecho disminuir los ingresos. Por esto, el United está obligado primero a vender para ir a por sus objetivos.
Sin duda, Jadon Sancho encabeza la lista de deseos de Solskjaer, pero los 120 millones de euros que pide el Dortmund dificultan mucho la operación. Dayot Upamecano, recientemente renovado por el RB Leipzig, es el favorito para formar dupla con Harry Maguire, pero su fichaje tampoco será barato.
El United espera poder rebajar las altas pretensiones que se piden por ambos jugadores, aunque lo que está claro es que antes deberán aligerar su nómina de jugadores para poder tener más margen de maniobra.
