uno más, el definitivo, en el último penalti de la tanda. El Arsenal conquistó
la Community Shield en Wembley gracias al buen hacer de su delantero gabonés,
auténtica estrella del proyecto de Mikel Arteta, que suma su segundo título en
el banquillo tras la FA Cup lograda hace menos de un mes ante el Chelsea.
El romance de
Aubameyang con Wembley sigue quedando patente. El delantero gabonés marcó goles
en la semifinal (Manchester City) y en la final de la FA Cup (Chelsea), que le
dieron el título a los ‘gunners’. No contento con eso, suyo también fue el
tanto que abrió el marcador contra el Liverpool. Recibió un balón en el extremo
izquierdo y fue centrando poco a poco su posición hasta que encontró el
disparo. El balón fue directo al segundo palo, lejos de Alisson, para convertir
el 1-0.
Mikel Arteta
confirmó antes de la final que la renovación de Aubameyang está muy cerca
–según se ha publicado sería por tres años, ya que actualmente finaliza
contrato en 2021–, pero todavía no hay nada firmado y cada aficionado del
Arsenal sueña con la renovación de uno de los mejores atacantes de Europa. No
es para menos.
En la alineación
del vasco, dos puntos de interés. En primer lugar, la presencia de varios
futbolistas que apuntan a abandonar el club, como Holding o Maitland-Niles. Por

ocasión de Mané y después apareció Minamino con su primer gol desde su fichaje
en el mercado invernal. Salah se puso a merodear por el borde del área hasta
que decidió cortar en seco, encontró al japonés después de varios rebotes y
éste definió sin problemas. Aunque Minamino no había tenido continuidad ni
buenas sensaciones desde su fichaje desde el RB Salzburgo, apareció en un
momento clave. Era el empate a falta de un cuarto de hora para el final. Poco
más tarde, Emiliano Martínez salvó una nueva oportunidad clarísima de Mané.
En los penaltis,
el único fallo llegó por parte de Rhian Brewster, el enrachado delantero que
Klopp sacó en el descuento para que tirase uno.
