Athletic Los 25 jugadores aptos se someten a un nuevo control de la Liga para ordenar el ritmo de trabajo.
El Athletic abre este viernes el segundo día de pretemporada. Lo hace pendiente de los nuevos test PCR a los que se someterá durante la jornada en Lezama después de que las pruebas del martes detectaran seis positivos ( Williams, Córdoba, Unai López, Núñez, Larrazabal y Sancet). El protocolo de la Liga establece que en caso de darse positivos el resto de la plantilla tiene que hacerse pruebas al de pocos días para descartar más contagios.
Los seis futbolistas portadores del virus no tomarán parte en esta ronda analítica. Todos ellos están aislados en sus respectivos domicilios a la espera de una buena evolución de la enfermedad. El análisis de detección se ha extendido a las personas de su entorno más próximo. El aislamiento podría finalizar a mediados de la próxima semana. 19 o 20 de agosto los jugadores tendrán que pasar un nuevo test. Si el resultado es negativo, tendrán el ok de las autoridades para entrenar con el resto del grupo.
En el equipo rojiblanco son 25 los futbolistas citados -24 ya previstos más el portero Ander Iru, que completará grupo en las sesiones-. Del resultado de las mismas, que se conocerá a última hora del día o a primera del sábado, dependerá el plan de trabajo de la próxima semana. Garitano inició el jueves los entrenamientos como nunca había imaginado: con trabajo individual para los futbolistas. La Liga no permite el ejercicio grupal hasta que sus participantes hayan dado dos negativos consecutivos. Si el PCR de este viernes desvela nuevos positivos quedará la duda de saber cuándo podrá empezar a entrenar el equipo en grupo.
En el mejor de los casos, sin más positivos entre la plantilla, el Athletic estará en condición de hacer ejercicio grupal en cuanto se de oficialidad al resultado de las pruebas. Garitano tiene preparada una doble sesión de trabajo para el sábado, que podría ser la primera en grupo, siempre a excepción de los seis negativos. En este comienzo de la pretemporada Peru Nolaskoain realiza un trabajo específico por unas molestias en el tobillo que se lesionó en el tramo final de temporada con el Deportivo.
