Tánger que dirige el español Juan Pedro Benali, también contagiado, deberá
disputar el encuentro contra el Renaissance Sportive Berkane.
El Sindicato de
Entrenadores Profesionales de España ha informado este domingo de que el
Ittihad Tánger, que entrena Juan Pedro Benali, ha sido obligado a jugar el martes
pese a que tiene 26 positivos por COVID-19, entre ellos el propio técnico
español, cuya delicada salud le hace ser persona de riesgo.
Según el
sindicato 'Sienpre', Benali, de 51 años, "está enfermo con el COVID-19 y
la federación de aquel país le ha dicho que su equipo, en el que hay 26
infectados, debe jugar en unos días sin hacer cuarentena".
Benali, según
precisa el sindicato, "está tomando sintrom (anticoagulante) y corticoides
para que la enfermedad no le agrave su situación. Es persona de riesgo y lleva
tres días con fiebres muy altas".
El sindicato
afirma que Benali está "pasando los momentos más difíciles de su carrera
deportiva" y pide que la federación marroquí no obligue a jugar al equipo
sin pasar una cuarentena.
"La salud
ahora mismo es lo más importante ya que hay 26 integrantes de la plantilla con
COVID-19", incide. "Sin duda es un momento muy delicado en su vida y
desde el sindicato queremos enviarle nuestro apoyo y que, por supuesto, no
obliguen a su equipo competir en esa situación", agrega.
A través de las
redes sociales, Benali ha agradecido "a todos el apoyo recibido en estos
duros momentos". "En mi nombre, en nombre de todos los jugadores,
staff y miembros del equipo Ittihad Tánger, Gracias", afirma.
El martes 11 de
agosto el Ittihad Tánger tiene programado un partido de la vigésima primera
jornada de la Botola Pro (primera división marroquí) en casa contra el
Renaissance Sportive Berkane.
El Ittihad
Tánger, que fue campeón de liga por primer vez en la campaña 2017/2018, es ahora
decimoquinto y penúltimo en la clasificación, sólo por delante del Raja Beni
Mellal. Ambos, en puestos de descenso a la Botola-2.
