empezar a definir el regreso a las prácticas.
Si bien Claudio
Tapia, presidente de la Asociación del
Fútbol Argentino, había anunciado a mediados de junio que la vuelta a los
entrenamientos en el fútbol argentino sería cuando todo el país haya pasado a
la Fase 4 de la cuarentena en la batalla contra la pandemia de coronavirus, la
decisión de CONMEBOL de ponerle fecha a la reanudación de la Copa Libertadores
obligó a apurar todos los planes, descartado el pedido realizado al organismo
sudamericano de postergar los compromisos que involucran a los clubes que
nuclea.
Son cinco los
equipos argentinos que disputan el certamen continental: Boca, River, Racing, Defensa y Justicia y
Tigre ya tienen programados sus partidos
de la tercera fecha de la fase de grupos para el jueves 17 de septiembre. Ante
esta situación, desde Viamonte apuraron las gestiones para conseguir la
aprobación del protocolo sanitario y, luego, Claudio Tapia conversó
telefónicamente con el ministro de Salud, Ginés González García, para empezar
con las definiciones: en la charla telefónica se había acordado una reunión
presencial, que todavía no sucedió, en la que se fijaría el comienzo de las
prácticas de los clubes implicados en las competencias internacionales.
Luego del anuncio
de la CONMEBOL y de que la AFA le presentara al Ministerio de Salud el
Protocolo Sanitario COVID 19, se empezó a especular con el 3 de agosto como
fecha tentativa de regreso para todos los planteles. Sin embargo, en los días
posteriores se conocieron cifras de un constante crecimiento de contagios y de
fallecidos en todo el país, especialmente en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos
Aires donde se concentran la mayor cantidad de clubes. Por lo que la reunión
AFA-Gobierno se había postergado para el viernes 31/7 y la vuelta a los
entrenamientos ya no será el 3/8, sino que se daría el lunes 10 para los
equipos que participan en la Libertadores. ¿El resto? La Primera, el 17 y, el
Ascenso, una o dos semanas más tarde.
Finalmente, el
encuentro entre González García y Claudio Tapia en el que se iba a tratar el
retorno a los entrenamientos se volvió a postergar: no se hizo el viernes 31 y
se reprogramó (sin fecha ni lugar) para la próxima semana, sumándose así a la
ya postergada reunión con Matías Lammens, ministro de Turismo y Deporte de la
Nación.
