Valencia CF El técnico evita dar su opinión sobre el futuro de Parejo en su presentación.
Javi Gracia no se moja por el capitán del Valencia. Durante su presentación, que se ha llevado a cabo de forma telemática, el entrenador navarro ha desviado la responsabilidad de lo que ocurra con Dani Parejo en el club. La pregunta fue la primera y muy directa. Su respuesta significativa. "Es un tema que está manejando el club. Tenemos fecha de vuelta para la plantilla el día 10 y veremos como están loacontecimientos. Las veces que he hablado con el club me ha dicho que es un tema de ellos".
El concepto de funcionario
"El mayor de los respetos para los funcionarios. Mis padres lo fueron. Me parece un término que hay que valorar. Yo no soy un funcionario. Soy un entranador y vengo a hacer mi trabajo. No voy a estar toda la vida en el Valencia. Quiero que los aficionados estén contentos. Me gustaría que fuera todo más favorable. Pero la opinión de la gente que no te conoce cuando llegas no es tan importante. Soy un entrenador y más allá de lo que se diga voy a hacer bien mi trabajo e intentaré estar mucho tiempo aqui".
Ambición y objetivo
"El término de ambición es muy amplio y vago. Para mí no hay mayor ambición que tratar de ganar todos los partidos. Decir que vamos a quedar en una posición o en otra no nos ayuda. Seré ambicioso en la exigencia del día a día. Querer estar en Champions lo quieren todos. Yo hablaría de ser ambiciosos y moderados en nuestras expectativas. Cargarnos con una mochila que no nos corresponde no nos va a ayudar".
Que debe mejorar el Valencia
"Lo llevo viendo constantemente. He seguido siempre la Liga. Me gustaría que fuera un equipo intenso y agresivo. Dominar partidos también sin balón. Y tener equilibrio en ataque y defensa".
Previsión de plantilla
"Nos espera una pretemporada extraña y con mucha incertidumbre. Hay que estar preparado. Firmar jugadores va a depender de los demás también. Estoy preparado para trabajar con los jugadores que tenga. Cuando más tiempo trabaje con ellos mejor será".
Siete entrenadores en seis años
"Cada uno somos diferentes y especiales. Cuando llego a un club no miro cuantos etrenadores han pasado. Siempre crees que puedes conseguir que las cosas vayan bien. En mi anterior etapa llegue a un club que igual habían pasado más entrenadores que en Valencia y en mi segunda temporada me renovaron el contrato, algo que no había hecho en mucho tiempo".
Lista negra
"No tengo ninguna lista por parte del club de jugadores que no van a continuar. En esta situación hay incertidumbre con el mercado. Decir que hay jugadores que no van a seguir no nos ayuda. Yo daré mi opinión sobre lo que creo que es bueno para el equipo. Con el consenso trataremos de llegar a los acuerdos con el club. La situación económica la están sufriendo muchos equipos. Estoy seguro de que tendremos una plantilla muy competitiva".

"Yo tenía interés en llegar a Valencia. Tenía otras cosas, pero se juntaron nuestros caminos y espero que sea el comienzo de algo bueno y duradero Mi objetivo personal no es sólo cumplir tu contrato, sino de ampliarlo y estar varios años en el Valencia".

Todos son buenos jugadores y por eso están en el Valencia. Estoy seguro de que ayudarían. Pero el futuro depende de unas situaciones de partida que condicionan y es económica. Hay que estar abierto a que jugadores importantes estén en boca de otros equipos. Voy a transmitir al propietario lo que creo que es importante para el equipo. Yo seré muy claro. Yo no voy a señalar a ningún jugador".
