Jürgen Klopp ha
sido elegido como mejor entrenador del año por sus colegas tras llevar al
Liverpool a proclamarse campeón de la liga inglesa por primera vez en 30 años.
Los ‘reds’ se adjudicaron el título a siete jornadas del final y el domingo
acabaron el campeonato con 18 puntos de ventaja sobre el Manchester City.
Klopp es
distinguido con el Trofeo Alex Ferguson por la Asociación de Entrenadores de
Liga (LMA) superando en la votación a Marcelo Bielsa, que ha ascendido al Leeds
a la Premier League por primera vez en 16 años, a Gareth Ainsworth (Wycombe
Wanderers) y a Chris Wilder (Sheffield United), premiado en 2019.
Al anunciar el ganador
a través de Sky Sports, el propio Sir Alex Ferguson acabó su mensaje a Klopp
asegurando que “te perdonaré por despertarme a las 3.30 de la mañana para
decirme que ganaste la liga”. Sus primeras palabras fueron para resaltar que
“ha sido completamente merecido. El nivel de rendimiento de tu equipo ha sido
sobresaliente. Tu personalidad se extiende por todo el club”.

premio con su staff: “Todo lo que hemos logrado en Liverpool este año no podría
haberse hecho sin la excelente aportación de mi cuerpo técnico; ellos nos hacen
un grupo realmente especial de cerebros de fútbol”.

Por último, Klopp
confesó que “me encanta trabajar con mis colaboradores, mis jugadores y todo el
