consigue el punto que sella su permanencia en Premier.
Empate dulce en Old Traford entre United y
West Ham. Ambos sacan
gran beneficio del punto de cara a la última jornada. A los de Solskjaer les
bastará un empate en la trascendental última jornada ante el Leicester para
certificar su clasificación para la Champions. Mientras, el West
Ham certifica con el empate su permanencia un año más en
la Premier League a falta de la última jornada, evitando la 'final'
que hubiera tenido que disputar ante el Aston Villa el domingo.
Antonio y
Greenwood fueron los grandes protagonistas del encuentro. El delantero del
conjunto londinense confirmó su gran estado de forma volviendo a marcar, y suma
ocho tantos en los últimos cinco partidos. Por su parte el canterano del
United anotó su quinto gol desde que se reanudara la competición. Pogba firmó
la nota negativa del encuentro, regalando un penalti de manera infantil
al West Ham.
Arrancó bien
el United, monopolizando prácticamente toda la posesión de balón. Bruno
Fernández, con gran movilidad, era capaz de recibir entre líneas y filtrar
pases a los tres de arriba. Así llegó la primera ocasión del partido. Bruno encontró
al espacio a Martial, y el francés remató cruzado un balón que sacó Fabianski con
una gran intervención.
Poco a poco fue
perdiendo fuelle el United. Los de Solskjaer se topaban una y otra vez con
la doble línea defensiva del West Ham que apenas dejaba espacios para
que recibieran los atacantes del United con ventaja. Además, los
de Moyescomenzaban a desplegarse ofensivamente, y a base de balones parados
metían el miedo en el cuerpo a los red devils . Y a balón
parado llegó la jugada más importante del primer acto. Rice golpeó
con violencia una falta lejana, y su tiro golpeó en las manos de Pogba. Error
infantil del francés, que sacó los brazos por miedo a que el balón le
golpeara en el rostro. El VAR fue el que instó al árbitro a señalar
penalti. Antonio no falló y adelantó a los suyos, anotando su octavo gol en los
últimos cinco partidos. Le tocaba remar contracorriente al United.
El segundo tiempo
comenzó con la entrada de Wan-Bissaka por Fosu-Mensah. Solskjaer
entendía que le faltaba profundidad a su equipo en ataque. Pronto se notó la
mejoría de los locales, que comenzaron a generar peligro por las bandas. El gol
del United planeaba por Old Traford, y no tardó en
llegar. Greenwood, en el 50' empató el encuentro gracias a un zurdazo
que entró pegado a cepa del poste izquierdo de la portería defendida por
Fabianski. Gran combinación por dentro entre Martial y el 26' que
igualaba el encuentro.
Tras el gol
llegaron los mejores minutos del Manchester en el partido. Wan-Bissaka y
Williams hacían daño a la defensa del West Ham con sus incorporaciones en
ataque, y sus centros, de no ser por el gran partido firmado por Ogboma y
Diop, habrían generado algún gol.
En el último
tercio del partido, el United dominaba, pero sin peligro. El punto comenzó a
verse con buenos ojos por ambos equipos. Finalmente reparto de puntos que deja
contentos a ambos: el West Ham salvado y el United a un empate de la
