El Liverpool
vivió una fiesta completa este miércoles al levantar el trofeo que le acredita
como campeón de la Premier League 2019/20 tras imponerse al Chelsea en Anfield
(5-3). Los de Klopp, que cerraron la consecución del título hace ya casi un
mes, recibieron el trofeo en el que fue su último partido en casa. Sin público
en las gradas, pero en casa. Y en lugar de dejarse llevar, prefirieron hacerlo
superando a un equipo que se jugaba una plaza para la próxima Champions y
tendrá una nueva oportunidad para luchar por ello en la última jornada tras
fallar en su intento de vencer ante un Liverpool ya campeón.
Se esperaba que
el Chelsea pusiera el fútbol en un encuentro en el que el Liverpool tan solo se
jugaba la honra, pero el campeón no se dejó sorprender. De hecho, el conjunto
‘blue’ encajó nada más y nada menos que cuatro goles confirmando que, por más
que continúe fichando estrellas como Werner para su línea atacante, el problema
continúa teniéndolo atrás.
El primer tanto
‘red’ llegó en el 23’, con un trallazo de Keita desde la frontal del área, y
poco más tarde Alexander-Arnold de libre directo y Wijnaldum a la salida de un
córner encarrilaron el triunfo del Liverpool dejando el marcador en 3-0.
Justo antes del
descanso Giroud hizo el gol de la esperanza ‘blue’, pero tras la reanudación,
en el 54’, Firmino asestó un nuevo golpe al Chelsea firmando el 4-1 a centro de
Alexander-Arnold. Más tarde, primero Abraham (61’) y más tarde un Pulisic (73’)
