Tras conseguir
devolver al Leeds United a la Premier League 16 años después, el
"Loco" cobrará más que el Solskjaer del Manchester United.
Marcelo Bielsa es
uno de los nombres de moda de la Premier League y es que el popular entrenador
ha conseguido que el Leeds United sea equipo de la máxima competición inglesa
después de 16 años. El equipo de "El Loco" además ha logrado
proclamarse campeón de la Championship gracias a la derrota del Brentford ante
el Stoke City, regresando así a la Premier por la puerta grande.
El propio Leeds
sabe que el entrenador argentino es uno de los grandes artífices del esperado
ascenso y por ello esto va a ser reflejado en su contrato a partir de la
temporada que viene. Como informa el diario inglés The Sun, Marcelo Bielsa va a
pasar a cobrar ocho millones de libras, un aumento de dos millones,
convirtiéndose así en el sexto entrenador mejor pagado de la Premier, superando
incluso a Solskjaer del todopoderoso Manchester United el cual se embolsa siete
millones y medio al año.
En el caso de que
Bielsa acepte el nuevo contrato, lo cual hará casi con total seguridad, solo
será superado por Brendan Rodgers del Leicester (10), Carlo Ancelotti del
Everton (11,5), Jurgen Klopp del Liverpool (15), Jose Mourinho del Tottenham
(15) y por supuesto Pep Guardiola el cual firmó un gran contrarto de 20
millones de libras por año con el Manchester City.
Tras conseguir el
sueño del ascenso, es el momento que Bielsa y la directiva se pongan a trabajar
para armar un equipo que permita mantener al Leeds United en Premier League.
Este año los tres equipos ascendidos han corrido suertes muy diferentes. Por un
lado, el Norwich City, campeón de Championship, confirmó su decenso hace
algunas jornadas y el Aston Villa apunta a seguir su mismo camino. Por el otro,
el Sheffield United se mantiene con oportunidades de clasificarse a Europa y ha
sido una de las grandes revelaciones de la temporada en Inglaterra.
