El técnico
español habla maravillas del lateral izquierdo, que ha vuelto del parón en un
gran estado de forma.
En un mercado que
será algo extraño, lo que está claro en el Arsenal es que de ningún modo van a
dejar escapar a Kieran Tierney, uno de los grandes proyectos del club.
Se había
especulado en las últimas fechas en la posible salida del lateral escocés rumbo
al Leicester City como recambio de Ben Chilwell, que lo más probable es que
deje el club. No obstante, los ‘gunners’ no quieren escuchar ninguna oferta por
el jugador de 23 años, que tras superar una grave lesión está dejando
impresionados a todos con su rendimiento.
En especial a
Mikel Arteta, que ha dejado claro que cuenta con Tierney, “Todo el mundo lo ama
en el club y se lo gana todos los días por la forma en la que trata a las
personas, como trabaja y la energía que aporta”, explicó a Goal, donde añadió
que “estoy encantado con sus actuaciones. Se ha adaptado muy bien. Es un
jugador que te da todo en cada entrenamiento y partido. Nos ha aportado
calidad”.
Tierney está
viviendo su primera temporada en el Arsenal después de que llegara el pasado
verano por 27 millones de euros. No obstante, por culpa de su lesión de hombro,
ha podido jugar solo 11 partidos, pero se espera que sea un gran activo de cara
a futuro.
