"Una de
las condiciones que quería (antes de ir a Japón) era no tener que jugar contra
el Barcelona. Jugar en otro equipo europeo no tendría sentido", dijo el
manchego.
Andrés Iniesta,
centrocampista del Vissel Kobe japonés y campeón de todo con el Barcelona y la
selección española, aseguró que todavía ve lejos el fin de su carrera de
futbolista y que, cuando lo deje, intentará ser entrenador.
Iniesta expresó
su profundo reconocimiento por el Barcelona, que le permitió vivir y competir
junto a los "mejores profesionales", aseguró que se fue a Japón para
conocer un "fútbol distinto" y para no tener que jugar contra su
Barcelona y se rindió ante el argentino Lionel Messi, al que considera
"incomparable" con el portugués Cristiano Ronaldo, en una entrevista
publicada este sábado por el diario italiano "Corriere dello Sport".
"Una de las
condiciones que quería (antes de ir a Japón) era no tener que jugar contra el
Barcelona. Jugar en otro equipo europeo no tendría sentido. Me fui porque
entendí que lo había dado todo al Barcelona. Tenía ganas de ver un fútbol
distinto, en un país
distinto. Quería seguir aprendiendo y creciendo como jugador", dijo
Iniesta.
"Luego
intentaré ser entrenador. Pero todavía falta un poco, me siento bien, feliz,
quiero seguir jugando y este campeonato japonés me ha sorprendido, es muy
competitivo", agregó el centrocampista de Fuentealbilla.
Reconoció que
dejar su pueblo a los doce años para ir a las juveniles del Barcelona fue
"un paso complicado", pero le permitió llegar a la cumbre del mundo y
conquistar 32 trofeos, además de jugar con los mejores futbolistas del planeta.
Nombró a Carles
Puyol, Gerard Piqué, el brasileño Dani Alves o el francés Eric Abidal, pero se
rindió ante el talento de Leo Messi.
"Se ha
hablado mucho de Messi, para mí es el número 1, porque lo tiene todo. Pases,
asistencias, regate, gol, espíritu de equipo. Sabe ser determinante en casi
todos los partidos, y lleva años siéndolo. Nunca vi a un jugador tan decisivo y
fuerte como Messi", afirmó.
"Leo es
distinto, inalcanzable. Luego cada uno tiene sus preferencias. Nos gusta hacer
comparaciones, pero para mí no son comparables. Incluso si marcan casi el mismo
número de goles", prosiguió.
En su larga lista
de compañeros ilustres, Iniesta añadió también el sueco Zlatan Ibrahimovic,
pese a que su etapa barcelonista fue complicada.
"Ibra puede
jugar en todo sistema y con cualquier jugador. un jugador como él solo es un
valor añadido, uno de los mejores del mundo. Su experiencia en el Barcelona no
fue fácil, pero compartir el vestuario con él es un gran recuerdo", dijo
sobre el delantero sueco, que se quedó una temporada en Barcelona (2009-2010)
antes de marcharse al Milan por falta de afinidad con el técnico Pep Guardiola.
Iniesta también
se refirió a los clásicos contra el Real Madrid del técnico portugués José
Mourinho, que marcaron de forma indeleble los primeros años 2010 en España y en
Europa.
"Me acuerdo
del período en el que competíamos con el Real Madrid de Mourinho. Los clásicos
era muy complicados, cada vez una batalla. No conozco personalmente a Mourinho,
no sé cómo trabaja, nunca me entrenó. No puedo negar que sea un gran
entrenador", aseguró.
