Valencia CF Lleva tres partidos sin marcar un gol y en 2008 encadenó cuatro.
El Valencia confirmó este jueves una de las peores noticias para encarar el final de temporada. La lesión de Rodrigo, que se pierde la temporada y estará recuperándose varias semanas durante el verano, deja el ataque blanquinegro sin uno de sus referentes que además había regresado en buena forma con la reanudación de la competición. El delantero internacional sufre una rotura parcial del ligamento colateral de la rodilla derecha y a Voro le quedan para el ataque Maxi Gómez y Gameiro, además de los infrautlizados por Celades Manu Vallejo -se lesionó en diciembre- y Rubén Sobrino. Hay otras opciones como Guedes o Ferran para ejercer labores de enganche.
El problema es que el Valencia se encontraba sumido en una crisis de producción ofensiva grave. Lleva tres derrotas consecutivas sin haber conseguido marcar ni un solo gol. Se trata de un récord negativo que iguala una racha de la época de Ronald Koeman en enero de 2008 (tres derrotas sin marcar gol). Pero entonces, fueron cuatro los encuentros en los que no celebró ningún gol pero el primero de ellos acabó en empate 0-0 ante el Levante. Las tres derrotas fueron ante Atlético (1-0), Villarreal (3-0) y Almería (0-1). Aquella temporada fue la del debut de Voro como técnico de Primera, que llegó al banquillo a falta de cinco jornadas cuando el equipo se puso a un punto del descenso tras ganar la Copa al Getafe.
Dos partidos sin chutar a puerta
Ahora el Valencia acumula tres derrotas frente a Eibar (1-0), Villarreal (2-0) y Athletic (0-2), con el agravante de que en los dos primeros partidos, el equipo no tiró a puerta ni una sola vez. Cambió esa sensación el último miércoles en Mestalla, pero el equipo no encontró el camino del gol, a pesar de que chutó diez veces y una fue entre los tres palos.
Para encontrar el récord absoluto de partidos consecutivos del Valencia sin marcar hay que remontarse a la temporada 68-69 cuando el equipo encadenó cinco jornadas, de la 17 a la 21, aunque en ese caso acumuló cuatro empates y una derrota. Casi no hace falta acudir a las bases de datos para rescatar la peor racha de partidos perdidos seguidos del Valencia. La más reciente fue con Pako Ayestarán como técnico. Perdió los tres últimos encuentros de la temporada 15-16 y los cuatro primeros de la 16-17. El técnico vasco fue despedido y la transición hacia Prandelli la asumió Voro, con dos victorias y una derrota.
