Más leña al fuego
en el fútbol francés. Si la cancelación para algunos prematura del campeonato
por miedo al coronavirus no ha sido suficiente, ahora la Federación Francesa de
Fútbol ha tomado la decisión de que hayan descensos, por lo que el Toulouse y
el Amiens perderán la categoría.
Evidentemente, no
ha sido del gusto en especial del Amiens, que tenía más opciones que salvarse
que el Toulouse. A pesar de que se había especulado que, teniendo en cuenta
como se habían dado las cosas, la competición podría ser de 22 equipos, se ha
desestimado esa opción.
El problema es
que la temporada no ha terminado y de eso mismo se ha quejado Bernard Joannin,
presidente del Amiens. “El fútbol habría crecido al no declarar ningún
descenso, al mostrar un humanismo total, solidaridad”. De hecho, incluso
advirtió ayer que “volveré
al Consejo de Estado para impugnar la decisión, que destruirá al Amiens y
docenas de familias perderán sus empleos”.
En la misma línea
se expresó Olivier Sadran, máximo mandatario del Toulouse: “Lo que me sorprende
profundamente es que nuestra competición se rige por las reglas, 90 minutos
durante 38 jornadas. Desde el momento en que modificamos estas reglas
unilateralmente, distorsionamos el juego y abrimos la puerta a todas las
interpretaciones. Es una pena”.
