Los
futbolistas del PSG rechazan una prolongación a corto plazo más allá del 30 de
junio, sin la que el club francés no podrá contar con ellos para lo que queda
de temporada.
Edinson Cavani y
Thomas Meunier tienen decidido no firmar extensiones de contrato a corto plazo
que les permitirían jugar las finales de copa y el torneo final de la Champions
League con el PSG, informó la radio francesa RMC.
Los contratos del
delantero uruguayo y el defensa belga expiran el 30 de junio, que, a menos que
hayan acordado firmar una extensión de dos meses, los excluye de las finales de
la Copa de Francia y la Copa de la Liga, así como también la fase final de la
Champions League a ocho en Lisboa.
El fin de semana
pasado, el director deportivo del PSG, Leonardo, dijo que a Cavani no se le
ofrecería un contrato para la próxima temporada, aunque el deseo del brasileño
era retener al máximo goleador de todos los tiempos del club para jugar la Liga
de Campeones después de que éste se clasificara para los cuartos de final.
La temporada de
la Ligue 1 terminó el 30 de abril en medio de la crisis COVID-19 con el PSG
siendo coronado campeón de la Ligue 1.
