el plazo de votación, dando a alegir los 100 nominados para ganar el
prestigioso premio " Golden Boy" , para decidir quién será, esta
temporada, el mejor joven del curso. Si el "Balón de Oro" decide
quién es el rey del fútbol mundial, el "Golden Boy" corona al
principe del deporte rey.

sucesor para el trono de João Félix
Esta temporada se
busca heredero para el ganador de la última edición, João Félix , jugador luso
del Atlético de Madrid, que se impuso en la anterior edición al inglés Jadon
Sancho y al alemán Kai Havertz . João sumó 332 votos, por los 175 de Sancho y
los 75 de Havertz. La magnífica temporada del crack luso sirvió para catapultar
su figura como gran ídolo del Benfica y para conseguir que el Atlético de
Madrid invirtiese 127 millones de euros en su fichaje, adelantándose en la
negociación a clubes como Manchester City o Real Madrid.

Vaart fue su primer ganador en el año 2003. Después lo conseguirían el inglés
Wayne Rooney y el argentino Lionel Messi. Sólo dos españoles han logrado el
trofeo de "Golden Boy", Cesc Fábregas en 2006 e Isco Alarcón en 2012.
En 2017 el ganador fue el francés Kilyan Mbappé, en 2018 el vencedor fue el
central De Ligt y en la última edición,
el triunfo final fue para João Félix. Francia ha logrado el premio hasta en
