La fiscalía de
Suiza acusa a Blatter de haber pagado un millón de dólares a la federación de
Trinidad y Tobago. Al parecer el pago provenía de una cuenta de la FIFA y
fue hecho el 13 de abril de 2010, libre de intereses y posteriormente hecho
como un regalo, tal y como refleja el informe de la fiscalía.
Jack Warner,
expresidente de la citada federación y al que la justicia norteamericana busca
y ha solicitado la extradición. Warner controló durante mucho tiempo los
procesos electorales de la FIFA a favor de Blatter. Jerome Valcker,
exsecretario general, y Markus Kattner, exdirector financiero también son
acusados.
Warner ya fue
acusado de recibir sobornos de 10 millones de dólares de la candidatura de
Sudáfrica 2010 y otros 5 de la de Rusia 2018. Blatter también tiene
abierta otra causa penal en Suiza por pagos a Michael Platini, entonces
presidente de la UEFA.
Valcke también
tiene pendiente otro juicio por un supuesto soborno de 1,25 millones de euros
vinculados con la concesión televisiva de la Copa del Mundo para Italia y
Grecia por parte de Al Khelaifi en nombre de BeinSports.
