El capitán del Betis, Joaquín Sánchez, que disputó su 38º partido frente al Sevilla, el rival al que más veces se ha enfrentado en toda su carrera deportiva, lamentó la mala imagen mostrada por su equipo en el derbi y asumió que los nervionenses eran justos ganadores del partido con el que regresaba LaLiga.
Cómo está tras la derrota"Como cuando se pierde un derbi. Jodido, porque era un derbi diferente, con las circunstancias que estamos atravesando y cómo se iba a vivir, con las gradas vacías, y al final te vas con una derrota dolorosa. Creo que el Sevilla ha sido justo vencedor y a nosotros no nos queda otra que pensar en el lunes, revertir la situación y luchar hasta el final por los puestos por los que empezamos a pelear a principios de temporada".
El Betis no termina de controlar la situación"Durante la temporada hemos tenido muchas cosas buenas, pero también nos han ido faltando otras. Veníamos en un buen momento, no en resultados, pero sí en fútbol, haciendo las cosas bien. Culminamos el último partido en casa con el Real Madrid antes del confinamiento con una buena victoria, haciendo un buen partido, con una buena dinámica, y se para ahí.
