Aunque Lisboa
parte como gran favorita, Madrid sigue peleando por albergar la final de la
UCL, que sería en el estadio Metropolitano.
No tiene
calendario, ni formato, ni sede. La UEFA sigue sin tener una solución estable,
sólida y oficial para acabar la presente edición de la Champions y la Europa
League. Pendiente de una reunión telemática el próximo día 17 y también el 24,
el máximo organismo europeo sigue ideando propuestas para rediseñar el
calendario. Con PSG, Atlético, Leipzig y Atalanta clasificados para cuartos,
existe consenso en terminar todos los partidos de vuelta de octavos. Y cuando
eso pase, la UEFA baraja dos opciones: cuartos a partido único y una
"Final a 4" en una sede por determinar; o cuartos, semifinales y
final a partido único, en una misma ciudad, en un formato 'Final a 8'. Todo
está abierto y las televisiones serán clave para tomar la decisión final.
Estambul,
descartada como sede de la final de la Champions por motivos lógisticos y
económicos
Estambul, sede
escogida para albergar la final del torneo, ya ha comunicado que tendría serios
problemas para organizar una final de Champions sin público. Eso sí, ahora esa
renuncia debe ser oficial. Precisamente por eso,UEFA está "sondeando"
posibles candidaturas. Según "Onda Cero Radio", la final no será en
Estambul por razones logísticas y económicas, por lo que el máximo organismo
continental sigue dialogando con diferentes ejecutivos del fútbol europeo para
encontrar el mejor acomodo y la mejor solución para Champios y Europa League.
El Atlético de
Madrid ofrece su estadio para albergar, otra vez, la final de la Champions
Tal y como
informó Goal, el Atlético de Madrid está gestionando albergar la final de la
Liga de Campeones. La noticia, desvelada en primicia por el programa de RTVE,
"Estudio Estadio", fue confirmada confirmada por el Alcalde de
Madrid, Martínez-Almeida, en 13TV. El regidor comentó: "Sé que hay
gestiones al respecto. Y desde el Ayuntamiento quiero mostrar el apoyo total y
absoluto a que esa final se pueda jugar en Madrid. Sería un mensaje al mundo de
que Madrid, a pesar del drama que hemos vivido, no se rinde y está de
vuelta", aseguró.
Lisboa, gran
favorita; Madrid, una alternativa real sobre la mesa de la UEFA
En este momento,
la gran favorita para albergar la final en caso de que Estambul renuncie, sería
Lisboa. Primero, porque en Portugal la pandemia no ha tenido un efecto brutal.
Y segundo, porque la capital lusa tendría dos estadios disponibles (La Luz y
José Alvalave). Eso sí, no
es la única ciudad en las "quinielas", porque Madrid también está en
la carrera por disputar la final de la Champions. Ya la organizó el pasado año
para albergar el choque entre Liverpool y Tottenham, por cierto. Y ahora, está
dispuesta a repetir.

que el Metropolitano sería ideal para la final...y Madrid, una sede perfecta
para una Final Four
Todo dependerá de
cómo evolucione la pandemia en la capital española, pero los rectores del club
colchonero consideran que el Wanda Metropolitano sería un escenario ideal para
disputar la final de la presente edición de la Champions y creen que la ciudad
de Madrid sería perfecta para acoger a los equipos... siempre y cuando la UEFA
opte por el formato "Final Four".

En la UEFA
consideran que todo sería más sencillo si se pudiese aplicar un fomato de
"Final 4" para el torneo, o incluso con una "Final a 8",

votarlo la UEFA, en su reunión telemática con los 55 miembros de las distintas
federaciones, el próximo día 17 de junio.
