manifestó el organismo que rige el fútbol europeo al diario Le Parisien. Lo
propuso el Lyon al Consejo de Estado, pero no tiene posibilidades de que
prospere.
Según manifestó
la UEFA al diario Le Parisien, el organismo que rige el fútbol europeo no es
contrario a que, pese a que fue cancelada, finalmente la Ligue 1 se complete en
formato playoffs, como propone el Lyon. Es sabido que dicho proyecto no tiene
apenas posibilidades de prosperar. La competición en Francia fue dada por
terminada el 30 de abril.
El Lyon depositó
el sábado su petición al Consejo de Estado y la UEFA confirmó este domingo al
citado medio que no se opondría a que la Ligue 1 finalizara con el formato
playoffs, como recoge a su vez el diario L’Equipe. Al darse la Ligue 1 por
finalizada debido a la pandemia del coronavirus, el Lyon se quedó sin plaza
europea para la próxima temporada.

“Tenemos que
clarificar que es competencia de las federaciones nacionales decidir sobre el
tormato de sus competiciones domésticas teniendo en cuenta las circunstancias y
las medidas restrictivas que hay en cada país”, dijo la UEFA sin embargo.
El organismo
precisó que la fecha de final de temporada para las ligas 2019-20 está fijada
como máximo en el 2 de agosto. El Consejo de Estado debe pronunciarse sobre la
petición del Lyon este lunes o martes, aunque con toda probabilidad confirmará
que la Ligue 1 2019-20 ya se dio por finalizada y no habrá variación al
respecto.
Fue el 30 de
abril cuando el campeonato francés se canceló debido a la pandemia del
coronavirus y el PSG, dado por campeón. PSG, Marsella y Rennes irán a la
Champions; Lille, Reims y Niza, a la Europa League. Amiens y Toulouse, a
Segunda. Lorient y Lens ascienden a la máxima categoría.
La Bundesliga, en
cambio, se reanudó el 16 de mayo, la Liga lo hará este jueves 11, la Premier el
17 y la Serie A, el 20, lo que ha hecho que haya muchas críticas por el hecho
de que Francia no haya hecho lo mismo.
