valores que también representa y siempre representará la DFB", asegura el
comunicado.
La federación
alemana no abrirá expediente a los jugadores Achraf Hakimi, Jadon Sancho,
Weston McKennie y Marcus Thuram tras sus muestras de solidaridad con George
Floyd durante la última jornada en la Bundesliga. Así lo dicta un comunicado
del comité de control de la federación emitido el miércoles, en el que el
órgano deja claro que tampoco expedientará a ningún jugador que se una a dichos
futbolistas a lo largo de las cinco jornadas restantes en Alemania y muestre
camisetas o brazaletes en honor al fallecido Floyd.
“El
comité de control siempre tiene conciencia de las normativas de la FIFA y del
reglamento de la DFB (federación de fútbol alemana). Sin embargo, en este caso
concreto se trata de acciones con el único fin de combatir el racismo y que
abogan por los mismos valores que también representa y siempre representará la
DFB“, fue citado Dr. Anton Nachreiner, presidente del comité de control de la
federación, en el comunicado. Fritz Keller, presidente de la DFB, añadió:
“Celebro esta decisión clarividente del comité de control, estoy encantado con
ella“.
El debate en
torno a las posibles sanciones de aquellos jugadores que se solidarizaron con
Floyd, mostrando todo tipo de prendas con la frase “justicia para George
Floyd“, surgió por el reglamento de la máxima competición germana. Éste prohibe
estrictamente todo tipo de mensajes políticos, por lo que un árbitro incluso
llegó a pedirle a McKennie que se quitase un brazalete con el nombre de Floyd.
El estadounidense no le hizo caso y anunció que seguiría portándolo, incluso en
caso de sanción, algo que, finalmente, no ocurrirá tras una decisión que
celebra el mundo del fútbol.
