La Premier League
sigue transmitiendo seguridad a jugadores y cuerpo técnico y, en esta última
ronda de pruebas del coronavirus, apenas se ha detectado un positivo entre los
1.197 test realizados. La competición, que volverá en apenas dos semanas, se ha
marcado como objetivo extremar el control de la salud de todos aquellos
implicados en los encuentros con el fin de que nada pueda retrasar el reinicio
de los partidos.
La persona que ha
dado positivo pertenece al Tottenham, como así ha informado el club aunque no
revelará su nombre, puede ser o no un futbolista. Se encuentra asintomático y
deberá realizar una cuarentena durante los próximos siete días como medida de
precaución, antes de practicarse otro test. Desde que empezó a andar el
proyecto Restart se han realizado cinco rondas de pruebas del coronavirus -dos
por semana-, en las que se ha sometido a los trabajadores involucrados a 5.079
test, de los que apenas 12 han sido positivos.
Nueve
positivos en la Championship
La liga inglesa
ha informado de que nueve personas de seis equipos de Championship, Segunda
División inglesa, han dado positivo por coronavirus tras las pruebas realizadas
entre el 30 de mayo y el 2 de junio. Estos datos llegan tras conocerse la
aparición de diez casos el pasado domingo entre ellos Jayden Stockley jugador
del Preston North End. Los jugadores o el personal del club que hayan resultado
positivos siguiendo las normas proporcionadas por la y cuando den negativo
podrán volver a los entrenamientos.
La EFL lo ha
anunciado este miércoles en un comunicado: "Después de la última ronda de
pruebas COVID-19, la EFL puede confirmar que 1094 jugadores y el personal del
club de los 24 clubes del Campeonato fueron evaluados en el transcurso del
sábado 30 de mayo, domingo 31 de mayo, lunes 1 de junio y martes 2 de junio con
nueve personas dando positivo en seis clubes".
La competición
inglesa también ha informado de las pruebas en League Two: "Después de la
última ronda de pruebas COVID-19, la EFL puede confirmar que 126 jugadores y el
personal del club fueron evaluados de cuatro clubes de la League Two en el
transcurso del sábado 30 de mayo, domingo 31 de mayo, lunes 1 de junio y martes
2 de junio, con cero individuos con resultados positivos".
Los clubes de la
EFL votarán el martes 9 de junio para cambiar las normas y decidir cómo
finalizar la temporada 2019/20, en caso de que sea necesario. Sky Bet League
Two ha afirmado que quiere que la temporada termine jugándose solo los playoff.
Los equipos de Championship volvieron a los entrenamientos y esperan reiniciar
la competición el 20 de junio tras el anuncio de la EFL.
