Los equipos hicieron
oficial el regreso de la liga, que arrancará el día 20 recuperando los 4
partidos de la jornada 25. Antes, se completará la Copa el 17.
Tenía que ser un
viernes calentísimo para el Calcio, y no defraudó. La larguísima asamblea de la
Serie A terminó casi a las 21 horas, cuando salió un comunicado con las
primeras medidas oficiales. Los equipos votaron por unanimidad reanudar el
campeonato recuperando los cuatro partidos aplazados de la jornada 25
(Atalanta-Sassuolo, Verona-Cagliari, Inter-Sampdoria, Torino-Parma) entre el 20
y el 21 de junio.
A partir del
lunes 22, en cambio, se jugarán los enfrentamientos de la jornada 27. Los
equipos, sin embargo, también aceptaron la directriz del ministro de Deportes,
Spadafora, y, antes de la liga, se completará la Copa italiana. El 17 de junio
tendrá lugar la final en Roma, mientras que los equipos le pedirán al Gobierno
adelantar de un día las semifinales de vuelta (Juventus-Milán y Nápoles-Inter),
que se jugarían el 12 y 13 de junio, en lugar de 13 y 14.
Ese tema fue el
que más polémicas causó entre los directivos. El Milán definió “muy
cuestionable” cerrar la competición tan rápido después de un parón de tres
meses, y el Inter habría llegado a amenazar con jugar utilizando el equipo
Primavera ante el Nápoles. Se intentó negociar, al menos, aplazar la final a
agosto, pero al final la asamblea votó por seguir las indicaciones del
ministro, entusiasta por reanudar el fútbol con tres partidos de altísimo nivel
que se emitirán en abierto, en la televisión pública.
Eso sí, las
reuniones todavía no han acabado: quedan por determinar fechas y horarios de
cada enfrentamiento. Ayer, durante toda la tarde, parecía seguro que la liga
reiniciaría con el Atalanta-Sassuolo, una elección simbólica. Se habría jugado
en Bérgamo, la ciudad más castigada por el coronavirus (las imágenes de los
camiones militares llevando ataúdes dieron la vuelta al mundo) y los neroverdi,
último equipo en ganar un partido del Calcio, el pasado 9 de marzo (3-0 con el
Brescia). Luego, no obstante, se decidió aplazar la decisión al lunes.
Queda en firme,
al menos, la final copera, cuya fecha no es un día cualquiera. El próximo 17 de
junio será el 50 aniversario de aquel legendario Italia-Alemania. La final de
‘Coppa’ no será otro 'partido del siglo', pero sí un nuevo inicio, el primer
título de la era postcovid. Aunque sea con mascarilla y con el alma triste, por
fin en Italia habrá algo que celebrar.
