el plan de la UEFA, que sigue analizando con detalle cómo poder conseguir
terminar una de las temporadas más complicadas de la historia del fútbol
continental. La idea que tiene la UEFA, que no es de carácter oficial y tendrá
que ser confirmada el día 17 tras una reunión telemática, es la de completar
los partidos de octavos y, a partir de cuartos de final que Champions y Europa
League se puedan jugar, a partido único y en una única sede.

presidente del Getafe CF, lo renoció anoche en Onda Cero, explicando que "quieren jugar a partir de cuartos en
una sede y a partido único, pero no hay nada confirmado ", explicó. El
máximo organismo del fútbol europeo pasará a debatir las medidas y la más
lógica apunta a completar los partidos de octavos de final y después, que todas
las eliminatorias pendientes de cuartos, semifinales y por supuesto final , se
disputen a partido único , para ahorrar fechas, descargar calendario y poder

implicados en el cruce, tras un sorteo. Sin embargo, la opción que parece más
fuerte ahora es apostar por una
revolucionaria fórmula: una final con formato " Final Four", con
cuartos, semifinales y final a partido único. Los partidos se disputarían en
una sola ciudad. El mismo formato se aplicaría en el torneo de la Europa
League, tal y como reveló el periodista Joaquín Maroto, del diario
"As". Ahora esa corriente favorable al nuevo formato tendrá que ser
sometida a debate y votación.

Otra cuestión que
tendrá que formalizarse será si, si al final hay que jugar sin público, si los
partidos tendrán que jugarse o no en Estambul y Gdansk, sedes ya determinadas
para acoger los partidos finales de Champions y Europa League ,
respectivamente. Diferentes fuentes de UEFA aseguran que aún no está
completamente confirmado al 100% que no pueda registrarse un cambio de última
hora en el escenario y ciudad de la final, ya que jugar a puerta cerrada podría
suponer un perjuicio económico importante tanto como para la ciudad turca, como
para la polaca. Si no se dan las condiciones necesarias, UEFA buscaría sedes
alternativas.
