El Cómite
Ejecutivo de la Federación Francesa ha votado esta mañana revocar la decisión
de la asamblea general de la LFP de tener 22 equipos en la Ligue 2 la próxima
temporada. La votación se produjo el pasado 20 de mayo con la oposición de Noël
Le Graet, presidente de la FFF y que había anunciado medidas para anular la
resolución.
Por tanto, la
Ligue 2 seguirá contando con 20 equipos el próximo curso. Esto afecta directamente
a Orléans y Le Mans, los dos últimos clasificados, que se habían visto
beneficiados de la decisión inicial de la LFP. Ambos clubes jugarán en National
(tercera división francesa), aunque podrían recurrir al Consejo de Estado.
La Federación
Francesa de Fútbol se ha amparado en el artículo 13 del Reglamento Interior,
que establece que la FFF puede revocar cualquier decisión tomada por la
asamblea de la LFP sin su consentimiento. El comité consideraba que tener 22
equipos en la Ligue 2 iba en contra del interés del fútbol francés, pues el
resto de divisiones no se habían modificado a pesar del coronavirus.
