
Un estudio de
inteligencia artifical muestra que jugar ocho partidos en un periodo de treinta
días, incrementa las lesiones en un 25% en comparación a disputar la mitad.
Los futbolistas
de la Premier League se lesionarán un 25 % más cuando vuelva la liga, según un
estudio publicado por la empresa de inteligencia artifical Zone7.
Esta compañía,
especializada en la previsión del riesgo de lesiones, trabaja con 35
futbolistas profesionales en todo el mundo. El estudio que han realizado
muestra que jugar ocho partidos en un periodo de treinta días, incrementa las
lesiones en un 25 % en comparación a disputar la mitad de encuentros en la
misma franja de tiempo.
En una temporada normal,
solo el 4% de los futbolistas tienen que enfrentarse a tener que jugar tantos
encuentros en un periodo tan reducido de tiempo, pero sin embargo esto podría
cambiar con la vuelta de la Premier el próximo mes.
La liga inglesa
espera retornar a mediados de junio y terminar a finales de julio, franja de
tiempo en la que habría que disputar 92 encuentros.
Un equipo como el
Manchester City, en caso de que la liga se reanudase el 20 de junio, podría
llegar a disputar 13 encuentros en 49 días. Esta cuenta variaría en función de
sus resultados en la Liga de Campeones.
Los entrenadores
pidieron a la liga una mini pretemporada de al menos cuatro semanas, para poder
preparar físicamente a sus jugadores. Según Zone7, cuando la preparación es
menor que este periodo de tiempo, normalmente debido a un torneo internacional
o a la disputa de las rondas previas de una competición europea, los equipos
tienen un 75 % más de riesgo de sufrir lesiones en la primera parte de la
temporada.
Flaminia Ronca,
que está trabajando con jugadores de la Premier League para medir los riesgos
de la vuelta al trabajo, aseguró que es posible que los futbolistas hayan
perdido "hasta un 15 % de su forma física" y ahora tienen que
recuperarlo en un periodo muy corto de tiempo.
