Los 20 clubes
de Primera pidieron a las televisiones pagar la sexta y última parte del dinero
acordado para retransmitir los encuentros de la temporada 2019-2020, que
alcanzaban un total para el año de unos 1.400 millones de euros.
La Liga de la
Serie A italiana pidió este martes a los dueños de los derechos audiovisuales
de la temporada 2019-2020 respetar los contratos y pagar completamente la
cantidad acordada, al negarse a conceder descuentos ante las complicaciones
causadas por la pandemia del coronavirus.
"El Consejo
de la Liga, reunido esta tarde, ha confirmado, por lo referido al vínculo con
los dueños de los derechos audiovisuales, la línea del respeto de los
contratos, de acuerdo con las decisiones tomadas en la Asamblea del pasado 13
de mayo", informó la Serie A en un comunicado oficial.
Los veinte clubes
de la Serie A pidieron a las televisiones pagar la sexta y última parte del
dinero acordado para retransmitir los encuentros de la temporada 2019-2020, que
alcanzaban un total para el año de unos 1.400 millones de euros.
Los derechos
televisivos de la Serie A pertenecen a las cadenas privadas ‘Sky’, ‘DAZN’ e
‘IMG’, con esta última sociedad que se ocupa de difundir los encuentros al
extranjero.
El plazo para que
las televisiones completaran el pago terminó a principios de mayo, pero el
dinero todavía no ha sido abonado ante la incertidumbre sobre el futuro de la
Serie A, parada desde el 9 de marzo a causa del coronavirus.
La Federación de
fútbol italiana (FIGC), la Liga de la Serie A y el ministro de Deportes,
Vincenzo Spadafora, se reunirán este jueves para decidir "si y
cuándo" se reanudará el campeonato, con la concreta posibilidad de que
esto ocurra a mediados de junio.
"El Consejo
de la Liga ha, además, analizado las distintas hipótesis de calendario que
permitan disputar los partidos que quedan de la Serie A y de la Copa Italia y
ha decidido, ante el encuentro institucional de este jueves con el Ministro de
Deportes, Vincenzo Spadafora, volver a reunirse el viernes por la mañana",
informó la Liga Serie A.
El campeonato
liguero fue interrumpido el 9 de marzo en la vigésima sexta jornada, con la
Juventus líder con un punto de ventaja sobre el Lazio, segundo, y nueve sobre
el Inter de Milán, tercero.
