Bernardo Silva,uno de los jugadores franquicia del Manchester City de Pep Guardiola, concedió una entrevista al diario "As". al escalón de los mejores del mundo. El internacional portugués ya no se acuerda casi de la ida de octavos de Champions que el City ganó 1-2 en el Bernabéu. Eso sí, dice que no se fía del Madrid porque "nunca hay que darle por muerto". Además, Bernardo Silva elogia a su compatriota João Félix, el joven talento del Atlético de Madrid, del que dice que "vale lo que han pagado por él".
Sobre cómo le ha ayudado Guardiola a convertirse en uno de los mejores jugadores de la Premier League, Silva comentó: "La forma de Guardiola de ver el fútbol es muy diferente de todos los entrenadores que tuve antes. Cuando llegué tuve un tiempo para adaptarme, para entender todo lo que quería y aprendí muchísimo. La mejor decisión de mi vida ha sido venir al City a aprender todos los días con Guardiola y con todos mis compañeros", dijo.
Acerca de la eliminatoria de Champions ante el Real Madrid, Silva explicó: "En el Bernabéu se vio a un City que también sabe replegarse con 1-4-4-2, sufrir en defensa y salir al contraataque. Nosotros con Pep cambiamos de táctica y cambiamos la forma de jugar casi todos los partidos. Nos adaptamos a lo que el partido nos pide. En el Bernabéu creo que hemos sabido sufrido y hemos hecho un partido para poder ganar ahí que nunca es fácil", sostivo.

Además, comentó que no se fía para nada del conjunto blanco, porque es impredecible: "Todo está abierto. Cuando juegas contra un equipo como el Madrid nada está decidido. Hemos visto en los últimos años muchas eliminatorias cambiando. Mira el Barça el año pasado que ganó 3-0 al Liverpool y luego perdió 4-0. Nunca se sabe. Es un buen resultado y nos hemos puesto en una buena posición para clasificarnos para cuartos. Es un partido muy difícil que tenemos que jugar y seguimos concentrados", aseguró, para después dejar caer que "a ningún equipo se le puede dar por muerto y menos al Madrid que ha ganado 13 Copas de Europa", alega.
Sobre las posibilidades de ganar la Champions con el City, una competición que se les resiste, Silva dijo: "En los últimos tres años hemos ganado todo en Inglaterra, la temporada pasada ganamos los cuatro títulos ingleses, esta temporada ya hemos ganado la Supercopa y la Copa de la Liga, estamos vivos en la copa de Inglaterra y la queremos ganar, pero la Champions es el título que le falta al club, a los jugadores y a Pep también le falta aquí en Inglaterra. Sabemos que es una competición muy difícil, pero vamos a luchar para conseguir el objetivo".
"João Félix vale el dinero que han pagado por él"
Y por últtimo, Bernardo Silva también tuvo palabras sobre Joao Félix, al se preguntado por el diario "AS": "He entrenado ya con João Félix muchas veces en la selección y tiene un potencial como he visto en pocos. Claro que tiene que trabajar y mejorar muchas cosas, pero el precio que han pagado por él es justo, Joao lo vale", sentenció.
